The most common FAQs
+ Where are you based out of? Are you available to travel?
I’m based in beautiful Hamburg, Germany but I love to travel and will happily jet off anywhere around Germany and the world. My destination wedding photography experiences include Italy, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Greece, Mexico and more.
+ We don't know how to pose or we are uncomfortable in front of the camera!
No need to stress—I often hear that from couples, and it's totally normal! I'll gently guide you to capture natural, authentic moments that reflect the real you. After our shoot, many couples say they felt so comfortable and had so much fun; it didn't even feel like a photo session!
+ Do we get to spend time with our families instead of just taking pictures on the wedding day?
Certainly! Your wedding day is all about you having the best time and enjoying the emotions and candid moments. We can keep the couple's portrait shoot to a duration that suits you, so you can get back to your family and friends. We can discuss more on our call!
+ What is your turnaround time?
Typically, for weddings it takes up to 8-10 weeks depending on the season & amount of pictures to be delivered. For couples shoots, it will take around 3-4 weeks.
+ Do you help planning?
Definitely! Preparation is an indispensable part of the entire process and I take it very seriously. You can count on me for everything: from timelines, providing a list of the perfect locations + everything in between.
+ DO YOU SPEAK GERMAN?
Yes! I am from Canada but I speak a good level of German so I can communicate with your friends and family on your wedding day just fine :). In terms of e-mails and main communication, all my couples (including German couples) liaise in English.
+ How do payment schedules work?
For weddings, I require 40% retainer to book your date + travel/accommodation cost if it's a destination wedding and the remaining 60% is due 7 days after the invoice is provided after the wedding. Full payment is required for the release of the gallery. I take bank transfer.
+ WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
I'm a laid-back photographer who can bring ease to your special day. I specialize in timeless, artistic, honest, and candid photography with a cinematic and editorial touch. Check out my galleries and experience page for a glimpse into working together.
+ HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
A couple of days post-wedding, you'll get a sneak peek of 20-30 photos. In 8-10 weeks, depending on your package, you'll receive a delightful wedding slideshow to relive the joy. Your online gallery will hold all your images for easy download (both high and web-resolution).
+ WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
I spend an average of 25+ hours editing and colour-correcting all of your final photos. I want to make sure every single one is pristine and edited with lots of love before I send them out to you; this is why delivery takes a little time. If you’d like your images sooner, you can chat with me about my priority service.
+ DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH SAME-SEX WEDDINGS?
YES YES YES!! A big rainbow-coloured yes! No matter how you identify or define your relationship, I’m always honoured to be a part of a couple’s wedding day :).
+ HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
Depending on your chosen wedding coverage and package, you will receive approximately 400-600 carefully edited photos. You can check out the packages in my pricing page for more detailed information.
